RyceApp is a product of SafeGuard ICT, an established IT Development and Support company with decades of experience helping organisations manage and support their technology.
RyceApp wasn't created as an idea in a boardroom. It came from something we were seeing regularly while supporting our customers: computers being left switched on overnight, consuming energy when nobody was using them.
We encouraged customers to make better use of their computer's sleep settings, but we quickly discovered a problem. Sleep timers activate during the working day and interrupt users while they were working. The typical response was: disable the sleep timer altogether.
That was the starting point for RyceApp.
We built a solution that allows organisations to define their business hours, so computers can automatically enter an energy-saving state outside those hours without interrupting users during the working day.
What started as a practical solution to a customer problem has continued to develop. RyceApp now provides organisations with information that helps them understand not only the energy being saved, but also the potential financial savings and reduction in carbon emissions.
Our focus has always been to make the process as simple as possible. RyceApp requires no additional infrastructure, is designed to require minimal IT time to deploy, and does not need to become another system that IT teams have to continually manage.

Rob created RyceApp after more than 25 years working in IT. He continues to lead the product's vision and development, combining his technical experience with a focus on making RyceApp practical, accessible and valuable for organisations.

Anwen brings an invaluable user perspective to RyceApp. Her focus is on making sure the product is straightforward and accessible for customers, particularly those without a technical background. Her feedback and testing help us continually improve the experience.

With more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry, Mark brings extensive programming knowledge to RyceApp. His experience helps us build a solution that is reliable, practical and capable of evolving with the needs of our customers.
Business Development
Paul is the newest member of the RyceApp team. He works closely with customers to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and help organisations get the greatest possible value from RyceApp.
We believe organisations shouldn't need a major infrastructure project, constant IT involvement or disruption to their users to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

What began as a solution to a problem we encountered in our own IT support work has grown into a platform designed to help organisations take control of energy use across their device estate.
